Youth SEWA – Learning Through Service

As part of the CBSE SEWA program, students of Grades 9–12 at New Horizon Gurukul visited the nearby Government Higher Primary School to engage in meaningful community service. Through shloka chanting, storytelling, art, and sports, students created joyful learning experiences while building empathy, leadership, and social responsibility.

The visit fostered a beautiful exchange of values, reflecting Gurukul’s commitment to holistic education rooted in service and character.

Hands That Serve, Hearts That Care

The Interact Club of New Horizon Gurukul, affiliated with Rotary International and sponsored by the Rotary Club of Bangalore, empowers 320 students from Grades IX–XII through leadership and service. In 2023–24, initiatives included a temple cleanliness drive in KR Puram to promote heritage and hygiene, and a blood donation camp that collected 103 units, fostering community involvement and social responsibility.

On 19th October 2024, New Horizon Gurukul’s Interact Club organized a successful blood donation camp in collaboration with BMS Hospital. With over 140 attendees and 101 units of blood collected, the camp highlighted the school’s commitment to social responsibility and community service.

Under the Green School Initiative, New Horizon Gurukul, in collaboration with ITC Ltd.’s WOW (Wellbeing Out of Waste) program, organized a large-scale recycling drive every year. Focused on promoting awareness about waste segregation and recycling, the program witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all grades. Together, they collected an astounding 11,024.4 tons of dry waste — the highest recorded by any school under ITC’s recycling initiatives in the past decade

Donation Drive – Spreading Smiles, Sharing Love

Every year, students of New Horizon Gurukul organize a Grocery Donation Drive for a nearby orphanage. Essentials like rice, pulses, oil, and other food items are thoughtfully collected and donated, fostering a spirit of compassion, service, and social responsibility among students.
