The secondary and primary sections of New Horizon Gurukul organized its Sports Day on 19th and 20th January 2024 respectively. The event took place in the spacious playground of New Horizon College of Engineering. Ms. Prarthana Murugavel, who is a motorsport professional and has secured the gold medal in Women’s Karting Slalom at the Asia Pacific Motorsport Championship was the chief guest for the Secondary Sports Day celebration. Mr. Muralidharan , an international football player, was the chief guest of the event for the Primary Sports Day celebration.

The students presented march past, various drills and there was an impeccable show of karate and yoga asanas too. The students competed against each other in sports events like the 50-meter race, the 100-meter race, the Dumble race, etc. The teachers and parents cheered for their children. There were races for parents as well and they participated with full energy and enthusiasm. All the winners were later awarded prizes for the positions bagged by them in their respective sports. It was an event that gave students a chance to display their team spirit. Teamwork and efforts put in by the staff and talented students were highly appreciated for making the Sports Day a grand success.
