New Horizon Gurukul hosted an immersive “Learn, Build, Fly” Drone Workshop by Cybotz Technology, offering students a hands-on exploration of cutting-edge drone technology. Participants worked on assembling an FPV Freestyle drone valued at Rs.45,000 – Rs.50,000, incorporating components akin to those used in agricultural, survey, and military applications. The workshop commenced with an introduction to drone classifications per DGCA guidelines, spanning Micro, Nano, Small, Medium, and Large, and explored types such as Fixed Wing, Multirotor, and VTOLs. Fundamental physics concepts like lift, thrust, and drag were explained, alongside detailed discussions on drone components, including cameras, propellers, brushless motors, flight controllers, ESCs, frames, and batteries. Activities included kit assembly, simulator training, outdoor drone flights, and a captivating drone show. Enthusiastic parent participation and certificates of completion further enriched the experience.
