Guest Speaker Session – ‘Eco-Inspire’ with Mr. Ishan Shanavas

New Horizon Gurukul hosted a Guest Speaker Session on 16th October 2025, featuring the young environmentalist and bestselling author, Mr Ishan Shanavas, founder of the national environmental education initiative, Eco-Inspire.
The event commenced with a warm and heartfelt welcome, acknowledging Mr Ishan’s profound impact on environmental education across the country. At just 22, Mr Ishan has become a TEDx speaker, author of the acclaimed book The Light of Wilder Things, and the driving force behind Eco-Inspire, a movement that has already reached over 20,000 students.
It was an inspiring one-hour session filled with wildlife photography, real-life encounters, and storytelling that captivated the students. From coral reefs to rainforests, students were transported into India’s wild ecosystems and taught that nature is not something distant but deeply connected to our daily lives.
