National Space Day 2026
New Horizon Gurukul celebrated National Space Day with great enthusiasm on August 23rd 2026, commemorating India’s remarkable achievements in space exploration and inspiring students to dream beyond the skies. The celebration was held on the theme “Towards Viksit Bharat: Innovating, Collaborating and Aspiring to Global Space Leadership.”
The special assembly was graced by Dr Srividhya, HoD, Department of Information Science and Engineering, BNMIT, who delivered an inspiring guest lecture on India’s journey in space science and technology. She highlighted the importance of innovation, collaboration, and scientific curiosity in shaping India’s future in space exploration.
The programme featured a vibrant blend of music, drama, creativity, and science, including a character walk on India’s space heroes, the skit “Maya: The Girl Who Reached the Stars”, a working model, “The Space Timeline – Journey into Space”, and an energetic space-themed dance performance.
The celebration concluded with an engaging interactive Q&A session, where students enthusiastically interacted with Dr Srividhya and explored exciting possibilities in space science and technology. The event was a meaningful celebration of India’s achievements, the spirit of scientific curiosity, and the dreams of young minds who will shape the future of India’s space journey.
