Rajyotsava was celebrated with great fervour and joy in New Horizon Gurukul on November 26th, 2021. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. This was followed by a small puja to Mother Bhuvaneshwari and the hoisting of the state flag.

Miss Kruthi and Miss Anusha were the Masters of ceremony. Welcome speech was given by Miss Samskriti and Master Joshith of grade 7. Miss Lavanya and Miss Adithi of grade 8 spoke about Karnataka and the importance of the day. The school choir then sang a melodious rendition of the famous Kannada song “Ide naadu, ide bhaashe”. This was followed by a tribute to the late actor Mr. Puneeth Rajkumar by the dance team, who entertained everyone by dancing to his famous songs. The programme came to an end by the vote of thanks by Master Abhay of grade 8 and Miss Saisarah of grade 4.
