Annual Trip to Talakaveri - Coorg – Madikeri (Scotland of India) for Grade 11

Objectives: To immerse students in the breath-taking landscapes of Coorg and Madikeri, offering a refreshing getaway from the hustle of the city. This trip aims to blend educational exploration of the region’s rich heritage and natural beauty with exciting adventures and recreational activities. |

Every moment was thoughtfully designed to spark joy and excitement, resulting in an unforgettable experience that will be cherished by all.”
DAY 1:- 16th November, Saturday – Journey to Coorg
We started the day by visiting the Tibetan Monastery in Coorg, known for its vibrant architecture and serene ambiance. Next, we explored the Nisargadama Bird Sanctuary, where we spotted a variety of birds, including ostriches. Our final stop was the Harangi Dam, where we witnessed a stunning sunset—a perfect end to the day.”
Day 2:- 17th November, Sunday – Exploring Coorg’s Wonders
On day 2, we started the day with a round of japa that set the tone for a wonderful day Then visited Kote Betta, where the breath-taking views from the rocky terrain left everyone in awe. The next stop was Abbi Falls, where we enjoyed the cascading waters and had a delightful time feeding the fishes. After a hearty lunch at Paakashala, we indulged in some shopping before embarking on an adventurous jeep ride to Abbi Falls, which was nothing short of mesmerizing. The day continued with a visit to Raja’s Seat amidst a gentle drizzle, adding to the charm of the place. We concluded this eventful day with a serene darshan of Lord Shiva at the 200-year-old Omkareshwar Temple, a truly divine experience.
Day 3 :- 18th November, Monday – A Spiritual and Scenic Exploration
Started the day with a peaceful round of chanting.
Visited Dubare Elephant Camp: Students enjoyed bathing elephants and had a memorable experience.
Explored Chekhole Dam Reservoir: Learned about coffee processing at Markara Coffee Plantation from bean to cup with an engaging guide. Witnessed the divine Mangala Aarathi at Talkaveri during Pradosha time Visited Triveni Sangamam. Ended the day with darshan at the sacred Bhagamangala Temple.
Day 4:- 19th November, Tuesday – A Relaxing Farewell to Coorg
We started the day with a nutritious breakfast followed by some relaxing time in fun activities within the resort. The students took this opportunity to explore the resort’s amenities and enjoy the serene surroundings. After a delicious lunch, we bid farewell to Coorg and departed for Bangalore. The students enjoyed snack time en-route as we reminisce about the wonderful memories created during the trip. The students returned to school with big smiles and even bigger stories, concluding an enriching and delightful journey.
Conclusion :- The school trip was a perfect blend of spirituality, adventure, culture, and fun. The meticulous planning by Heritage Tours and the enthusiastic cooperation of the students and teachers ensured that every moment of the journey was a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and cultural exploration. This journey provided cherished memories, strengthened bonds among students, and offered a refreshing break from routine. As students return home, they carried not just souvenirs but a heart full of joy and gratitude for this unforgettable experience.
