Under the Green School Initiative, New Horizon Gurukul, in collaboration with ITC Ltd – WOW (Wellbeing Out of Waste) program, organized a large-scale recycling drive on June 3rd, 4th, and 9th, 2025. Focused on promoting awareness about waste segregation and recycling, the program witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all grades. Together, they collected an astounding 11,024.4 kg of dry waste – the highest recorded by any school under ITC’s recycling initiatives in the past decade. The dry waste collected was 4,059 kg on 3rd June, 3,445 kg on 4th June, and 3,519 kg on 9th June.

Students were recognized for their efforts with new notebooks, stationery, and certificates of appreciation, while top contributors received special medals and awards. The initiative not only highlighted the power of collective action but also inspired students to become responsible stewards of the environment, reinforcing their commitment to a sustainable future.
