Deepotsav at New Horizon Gurukul is a vibrant celebration of Diwali, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. Students arrive in ethnic wear and are welcomed with tilak and aarti. The campus comes alive with food stalls, games, and a cultural program featuring energetic performances, diya lighting, and festive décor. Highlights include live music by Acoustic Saga, a delicious dinner, and stunning fireworks. The event reflects teamwork, tradition, and joyful celebration.
Holi @ NHG – A Splash of Joy!
Holi at New Horizon Gurukul is all about color, culture, and connection! The celebration begins with a warm welcome and reflections on the festival’s message of love and harmony. Lively dance performances set the mood, followed by a fun-filled color play using safe, organic colors. Students enjoy traditional sweets and refreshing thandai, all in a safe and joyful environment. It’s a celebration that truly brings everyone together in the spirit of unity and happiness!
Sri Krishna Janmashtami – A Day of Devotion
At New Horizon Gurukul, Janmashtami is celebrated with joy, devotion, and cultural spirit. The day begins with a special assembly, followed by soulful kirtans, aarti, and a lively dance performance depicting Lord Krishna’s leelas. Students and teachers join in Maha Sankalpa, bhajans, and guided mantra meditation, creating a divine atmosphere that deepens spiritual connection and celebrates our rich cultural heritage.
Vaikuntha Ekadashi – A Gateway to Devotion
At New Horizon Gurukul, Vaikuntha Ekadashi is celebrated with deep devotion and spiritual joy. The school transforms into Vaikuntha, with the opening of the Vaikuntha Dwara, aarti, and mass sankalpa setting the tone. Students chant the Venkatesha Stotram and Govinda Namavali, while staff offer soulful kirtans. The celebration ends with darshan, prasadam, and a heart full of divine connection.
Ganesh Chaturthi – A Festival of Wisdom & Joy
At New Horizon Gurukul, Ganesh Chaturthi is marked by devotion, culture, and celebration. The day begins with the Ganesha Homa, invoking blessings of wisdom and prosperity. This is followed by the idol installation, aarti, and soulful bhajans. Students showcase vibrant cultural performances, adding color and energy to the celebration. The event concludes with prasadam distribution, uniting the school in joy, devotion, and the spirit of new beginnings.
At New Horizon Gurukul, students actively participate in the annual homa, gaining hands-on experience in performing rituals and chanting mantras. Guided by learned pandits, this tradition fosters spiritual learning and cultural connection.
Events
The bond between parent and child is eternal and deeply cherished by all. To honour this special connection, we celebrate ‘Bandhan’ with great enthusiasm, where parents and primary class children participate joyfully in dances, singing, and games.
New Horizon Gurukul with a Twist aims to give parents the opportunity to step into their children’s shoes for a day. This event is designed as a blend of experiences for parents, filled with nostalgic moments and the revitalization of fond memories from their own school days.

Featuring engaging events in Coding, Medicine, Psychology, Forensics, Investigative Journalism, Architecture, and Sustainable Fashion, the fest offers hands-on learning and creative challenges. Planned and executed by our senior secondary students, it reflects their dedication to holistic development.
New Horizon Gurukul organizes its Annual Day every two years, a grand celebration that showcases the artistic talents and cultural values of our students.
During the Annual Day, students perform a variety of acts that bring these themes to life, highlighting virtues like truth, righteousness, and devotion. The event also includes a felicitation ceremony where students are recognized for their accomplishments.
