Heritage Trip to Haridwar-Rishikesh

The school trip organized from 08-09-2023 to 12-09-2023 by Heritage Tours, in collaboration with NIVE, was nothing short of a memorable adventure for the 24 enthusiastic participants from Grade 11 and 12 at New Horizon Gurukul. The trip was aimed to offer the students a journey filled with cultural exploration and adventure, with the hope that it would not only broaden their horizons but also create lasting memories and forge deeper connections among them.

The trip began with an exploration of Haridwar. The students gathered at the Har Ki Pauri Ghat for the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti. They offered diyas to the holy Ganga and visited the Brahma Kund Ganeshji. On September 9th, they visited Chandidevi Temple, which was accessible via a thrilling ropeway ride. Here, they also explored Hanuman and Anjanadri Temple and chanted the Hanuman Chalisa with devotion. After their spiritual journey in Haridwar, they set off for Rishikesh and explored key sites such as Ram Jhula, Rameshwaram Temple, Parmarth Niketan, Triambakeshwar, and Lakshman Jhula. The 10th of September began with a rejuvenating yoga session at Yogadham Ashram in Rishikesh. The journey continued to Dehradun, where they marveled at the beauty of Sahastradhara Falls and explored Robber’s Cave. On September 11th, the students enjoyed the refreshing Kempty Falls, visited the Haunted House, and took a nature walk to Company Garden. At the garden, they had a boat ride and experienced the thrill of the Merry Columbus ride. They also visited the Mussoorie Library Chowk and spent time exploring the library. The highlight of the day was the visit to Gun Hill Sunset Point, accessible via a thrilling ropeway ride, where they enjoyed a live melodious song show. A shopping spree at Mall Road added the finishing touch to their day, and they returned to Shivalik Hotel for fun activities at the hotel’s arena. September 12th marked the day of Fond Farewells and Homeward Bound. The students and teachers bid farewell to Mussoorie, carrying with them cherished memories. Finally, with bags full of souvenirs and hearts full of memories, they embarked on their homeward journey.
