Event Details:

The event commenced with an introduction by the volunteers of NGO COMM unitree, emphasizing the significance of tree plantation in environmental conservation. Students were divided into groups and were asked to plough the soil to ensure suitable conditions for planting at the designated areas. Tools such as spades, watering cans, and other gardening equipment were arranged for the planting process. All the students actively participated in planting the saplings under the guidance of experts from COMM unitree and campus staff.

More than 300 saplings of native varieties like Indian Almond, Wild Amla, Red Chandan and Mahogany, etc., were planted by the students.
Educational Session: A briefing session was conducted, educating participants about the ecological roles of the planted species and their benefits to the environment and explained how planting over 300 native saplings will contribute to biodiversity conservation, improve air quality, and enhance the greenery. Instructions were provided on how to care for the newly planted saplings to ensure their survival and growth. Students gained hands-on experience in environmental stewardship, fostering a deeper understanding of ecosystem services and sustainable practices. The event promoted teamwork and collaboration among students, teachers, and volunteers towards a common environmental goal.
