STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENTS

Aarav Manche of grade 5G, has showcased exceptional talent and steadfast dedication in chess throughout the 2023-24 session. His achievements include winning the prestigious Karnataka State Schools Chess Championship 2023 in the U11 category, earning him the esteemed state championship title. As the state champion, he represented Karnataka at the Nationals Schools Chess Championship in Tamil Nadu, where he astoundingly secured the 12th position among 250 participants nationwide, showcasing his outstanding skills. Aarav also participated in the highly competitive National U11 and U13 championships held in Vishakhapatnam and Secunderabad, respectively, where he demonstrated remarkable prowess, significantly improving his ELO rating by over 200 points. Recently, he made his highly anticipated debut in the “International Grandmasters Open Chess Tournament Category B” in Bangalore, where he impressively earned the title of the 3rd best player from Karnataka, thereby garnering a well-deserved cash prize. Additionally, Aarav showcased his exceptional skills in the Karnataka State Amateur Chess Championship, securing the noteworthy 2nd place in the U14 category, and the Karnataka State Under 15 Chess Championship, where he once again clinched the remarkable 2nd place in the U11 category. Aarav’s consistent success, coupled with his extraordinary achievements, unequivocally positions him as a rising star in the world of chess.
