Uphaar 4.0: Learning with Purpose, Serving with Compassion
Event Details:
Uphaar 4.0 stands as a compelling example of experiential education in action, where learning extended beyond classrooms and textbooks into real-life application, service, and impact. Conducted as a two-day event, Uphaar transformed the school campus into a dynamic centre of creativity, collaboration, entrepreneurship, and empathy.
Across both days, the event recorded an extraordinary footfall of nearly 10,000 people, including parents, grandparents, extended family members, alumni, staff, students, and members of the wider community. The scale and diversity of participation strengthened the strong bond between the school and the community.
Experiential Learning and Skill Development
Uphaar 4.0 offered students a valuable opportunity to participate in hands-on, real-world learning. Students planned, organised, and managed food stalls, games, creative spaces, performances, competitions, and an auction, taking full ownership of their initiatives. Through this process, students developed financial literacy, communication skills, leadership, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and a deep sense of responsibility.
Community Participation and Partnership
The campus evolved into a shared community space where learning was celebrated collectively. Active parent participation and the presence of alumni enhanced the students’ confidence and reinforced the joy of learning with purpose.
Social Responsibility and Real-World Impact
A defining highlight of Uphaar 4.0 was that learning did not conclude with fundraising. In a deeply meaningful extension of the initiative, students visited the supported NGOs and personally handed over the cheques. This experience enabled students to witness the real impact of their efforts, interact with beneficiaries, and understand the importance of empathy, dignity, and service.
By meeting the people and organisations they supported, students connected their work to real lives and real change. These visits transformed numbers into stories and contributions into lasting impressions, leaving students with a sense of pride, accountability, and social consciousness that will remain with them far beyond the event.
Through Uphaar 4.0, a total amount of ₹33,19,200 was raised and contributed to 21 NGOs.

Impact beyond the Event
Uphaar 4.0 beautifully reflected the spirit of New Horizon Gurukul and its commitment to holistic education. More than an event, it became a meaningful journey through which students learned the value of empathy, social responsibility, and collaboration. Through purposeful learning and giving with heart, our children experienced the power of collective action and the joy of making a difference.
This initiative is deeply rooted in the vision of our Chairman, Dr Mohan Manghnani, who firmly believes that education finds its true purpose when knowledge is transformed into service. Uphaar was envisioned as a platform where students move beyond awareness to action, learning to give back to society with sensitivity, responsibility, and gratitude.
It reflects his belief that education must nurture not only intellect but also compassion and character. These experiences sowed the seeds of lifelong learning, shaping compassionate individuals who understand that true education extends beyond classrooms and continues through mindful actions and selfless service to society.
