Annual Trip to Hampi for Grade VIII
The students’ field trip to Hampi was an enriching blend of fun and learning as they explored the historical and cultural treasures of the region. 59 Students from Grade VIII A, B, C, D went on 2nd November 2023 and 73 students from Grade VIII E, F, G went on 6th November 2023 for the 3-day trip.
The Archaeological Survey of India Museum provided insights into the rich heritage of Hampi, showcasing artifacts that spanned centuries. The Hemakuta Hill Monolithic Ganesha ,allowed students to marvel at the architectural brilliance of the Vijayanagara Empire. The Virupaksha Temple offered a spiritual experience, with students gaining cultural knowledge and historical context. The Panduranga Mantapa offered a reflective exploration of the story of Purandara Dasa, accompanied by moments of meditation and chanting.
The trip to Anegundi Hills and Kodanda Rama Temple provided a picturesque backdrop for both enjoyment and educational exploration. Students were captivated by the ancient charm of Annegudi Village, where they were treated to a vibrant cultural show, immersing them in the local traditions. The blend of historical exploration, cultural immersion, and scenic beauty made the Hampi field trip a memorable experience, fostering a love for history and heritage among the students.
