Tinkering is to find innovative and creative solutions to problems. Tinkering is anattempt to inculcate ‘Let’s Try Something New’ attitude among students of all age groups. It motivates students to apply multiple new approaches to solve a single problem and develops the aptitude to explore, experiment and learn. We, at New Horizon Gurukul, now have the space for the children to get involved with technology and experiment with various technology tools like electronics and robotics to understand their potential. It is a space for the students to think out of the box and explore alternatives and create options that did not exist before.

The creation of this space has been made possible by the establishment of the Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs). Atal Tinkering Lab is a national level program- by National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog) – the premier policy ‘Think Tank’ of the Government of India. The objectives of the programme are-

• To create a work space where young minds can learn innovation skills and sculpt ideas through hands-on and do-it-yourself projects.
• To empower our youth with the twenty first century skills of creativity, innovation, critical thinking, design thinking, social and cross-cultural collaboration, ethical leadership and so on.
• To create opportunities for the young students to work and learn in a flexible environment &help build innovative solutions to India’s unique problems
