Educational Trip to Ramanagara

The educational trip arranged for the students of grade VI to Campfire Circle in Ramanagara on 14 and 15th September 2023 provided an opportunity to the students to foster essential life skills such as creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability, while also strengthening students’ friendships and creating lasting connections through structured group activities. 176 students of Grade VI were part of the trip. It was an unforgettable adventure and camping program.

The students participated in a range of experiential learning activities, including raft building, shelter construction, fire building, and knot tying. Students designed, built, and tested rafts using provided materials, promoting creativity, teamwork, and engineering skills. By constructing various types of shelters using tarps and natural materials they learnt survival skills, resourcefulness, and adaptability. Students learned two different fire-building methods, emphasizing fire management and safety. They acquired skills in tying four to five fundamental knots used in outdoor activities, enhancing problem-solving skills. They also participated in a diverse array of activities like trekking, mud volley ball, rain dance, kayaking and rappelling. All these activities added depth and excitement to their adventure. The evening was filled with the warmth of the campfire and the melodies of music, creating a memorable atmosphere.

Through structured group activities, teamwork challenges, and shared accommodations in tents, students formed a lasting connection with their classmates. Nutritious and delicious meals were provided to them. Comfortable, well-maintained tents within the Campfire Circle premises provided a safe and cozy environment for a restful night’s sleep.

This unforgettable experience will leave a lasting impact on their personal and educational journeys, equipping them with valuable life skills, cherished memories and practical skills that ultimately prepare them for real-world challenges.
