Event Details:
Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with great enthusiasm at New Horizon Gurukul, reflecting Karnataka’s rich culture and heritage. The event began with a warm welcome by the students, followed by the flag hoisting by the distinguished guests and the singing of the state anthem, honouring the pride of Karnataka.
Students delivered an engaging speech on the significance of the state festival and showcased the grandeur of Kannada through a melodious song. The celebration also marked the birth anniversary of Kanakadasa with a brief speech introducing his life and contributions. A soulful rendition of the song “Hacchevu Kannadada Deepa” inspired the audience and shared simple Kannada phrases to encourage learning the language.
The event concluded with a vibrant ‘Kamsale’ dance performance showcasing Karnataka’s folk traditions, followed by a vote of thanks. The celebration successfully instilled pride and unity among students.
