TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION

We celebrate teachers’ day across the country on the 5th September every year. This day is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan- the second president of India. As a tribute to this great teacher, his birthday is observed as teacher’s day.

A celebration was organised at New Horizon Gurukul by our students on 4th September 2021 from 9 am to 12 pm. This whole event was planned by student council members. The students personally mailed the e-invites to all the teachers. The importance of the day was highlighted when all the teachers came dressed up in ‘Retro’ themed clothes which was proposed as a dress code by the students.

The teachers were welcomed with a capture of Candid photographs. The auditorium was well decorated and sanitised. The students presented a series of fun and entertaining events for the teachers.

The event started with the school captain addressing the audience. Then came the dance performances by the students of grades 9,10,11 and 12. The teachers were delighted to see the dance performances. The students presented a skit on the change of students’ lives from online classes to offline classes which was a major fun factor and the best part of the event. The students had made a beautiful film wishing their teachers on this special occasion which made the teachers emotional. Multiple games were conducted for the teachers, like finding out the songs with the help of music, giving a make-over to the models by the teachers. The event was also live streamed through google meet. Students had arranged for a Memory wall and a Photo booth. Teachers were presented with customized pens with their names on it as a token of love. Teachers were on the floor dancing and enjoying themselves.

A delicious lunch was arranged by our management which every one enjoyed. A vote of thanks was proposed by the senior coordinator on behalf of all the teachers.
