STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENTS

Maharaj Sawai Mansingh Vidyalaya, the prestigious institution in Rajasthan conducted “Youth Parliament” on 27th and 28th July, 2024. The inauguration was done by Honourable Speaker , Sri Vasudev Devnani, BJP- MLA Sri Sandeep Sharma and the Leader of the Opposition, Sri Tika Ram Jully. This was attended by 181 students from 41 schools across the state and country. It was a one time opportunity for us to represent our school New Horizon Gurukul in the competition. 

In this simulated Legislative Assembly , we were exposed to the real time experience of being MLA’s in Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha and delivering on the impending current issues of irregularities in coaching centers focused on competitive exams such as NEET, JEE and UPSC. 

The remaining sessions were conducted at the school auditorium giving us a pan-India platform to discuss. The exposure of meeting and discussing multiple current issues at hand at the such as Revision of Right to education act, providing medical facilities to senior citizens, Discussing Paper leak issues and also discussing about the debarring of a legislature if they defect from one party to another 6 months prior to elections with people from all over India and learning about the opinions presented in their speeches gave us a broader outlook of rest of the country. We could see unity in our thoughts while listening to very well researched speeches and having performed our speeches in front of 180 speakers , made us confident and articulate in what we truly believe. 
It was truly an honour to represent our school at a national level forum.
